Lost or stolen iPhone: what to do immediately

  1. Report it to IT immediately at USSITSupport@universalsiteservices.com. Include your name, phone number, when and where it was last seen, and whether it was unlocked. If email is unavailable, call your manager, office, or dispatch and ask them to contact IT.
  2. If Find My was enabled, use iCloud Find Devices or another Apple device to mark the iPhone as lost.
  3. Contact the mobile carrier to suspend the SIM or eSIM.
  4. Do not approve any Authenticator prompts. IT may revoke work sessions and remove company access from the phone.
  5. If it appears at an unfamiliar location, do not try to recover it yourself; contact law enforcement.
  6. Do not remove the phone from Find My, because that removes Activation Lock.

Do not delay the IT report while searching for the phone. Fast reporting protects company email and files.
